This has been done.

Points for knifing have been increased to 225.

Bonus for kill has been decreased to 20000-40000.

Is this ok for you guys?

how about adding a camping penalty? You still have players doing the hide thing until they can use their guns. At least then they can't sit there and just wait. It may not do anything except make them move in a small circle but at least they can't sit there like a lumpy turd.
