Try updating the Browser maybe
I followed the instructions from a Google search. i.e. Remove Firefox and all the accounts including roaming. I then (several times) installed an old version from hard drive. Firefox works for a short time, upgrades itself then crashes. This is on XP. I switched to the other drive in PC for Win 7 and it works ok. Just letting that version to upgrade to Win 10 so see what problems that brings. Typing this on my Ubuntu netbook.
