In my opinion do you guys go way over the top to prevent "stealers" from getting the power-ups and/or coins.
People that join in later and play genuine shouldn't be affected that much.
I think if you make the timeout 40 sec after joining is more then enough.
Because if they want the coins/power-ups, they have to collect them during the wave (if they joined in the brake).
Do note that the amount of times you can go spec and join is limited to once a round.
And don't make the power-ups/coins disappear, just reuse the April fools code
