Okay.. I had no idea where to post this because I couldn't find a forum specifically for Region of the Undead for UO..

Anyways, i've been playing for a while on the server and everything was fine until I had a Buffer Overrun a few months ago so I decided to buy the steam version of UO and fixed the bufferoverrun etc..

But now I can't seem to get on the server as it says I have "167 sound file(s) are missing or in a bad format" and I have no idea where I can get them? I have tried getting rid of the mod and then downloading the files again from the site just to see if that makes a difference, but still the same error :/

Any fixes?

Hello,

well known problem of COD.
First of all try to delete "modsrotuv1" folder in the game directory. If it doesnt work, try the following steps to get it working again:
1. Delete all .cfg files (do not delete default_mp.cfg) in "main" and "uo" folder in the game directory.
2. Delete all mods from the game and remove all modified paks from "main" and "uo" folder. Normaly there should only be pakuo01... and pak01... and 2-3 localization paks. Do not delete any dll files
3. Check your sound driver and be sure it is installed correctly. Try also to plugin a headset....

If anything works try a fully reinstallation. If you reinstall it choose a new path to update registry entries etc...

But normaly steps 1-3 should help.
