Hello pECo,

- No, smokes FX can't be removed.

- For your problem there's only 2 possibilities :

1 - It's the smoke bug when sometimes you can see through 1 smoke but without any cheats (it's a really rare graphic problem from game).

2 - An old player know the game as nobody else so they're able to know if someone pass through the smokes or not, we call that the Game-Sense. They can pre-fire or maybe have received a friendly call about that etc.

Or the last option "cheats" but I don't think it's pretty rare.

I have been banned from a CoDUO competition about that because of pre-fire through smoke even with an anti-cheat they thought I cheating

In this case I know the map perfectly + i received the call from my friends and it was strategic for them to pass through the smoke so I pre-fired but on a replay it seems to be a wallhack. I leave you judge
