Hello you lot. Thought I would look in on you after 18 months away.

Last computer with UO on it went kaput so now on a sleeker, faster model. Did manage to save the files in the CODUO folder along with the ROTU maps and other files there. However, I cannot find a do_not_delete folder which may have been trashed trying to revive the last P.C.!!!!

So, this morning thought I'd do a bit of spectating. Ran COD UO without reinstalling it from the secondary drive (the one from the broken PC.) Had to put the software key in again, plus my COD UO username had reverted to an old one?!! Renetered my ROTU username Connection Interrupted and tried to enter the ROTU server. I had a couple update downloads, it went to get onto Warehouse map and stopped due to the message..... Cannot load "weapons/mp/7002_mp" file. So, found out that the Allow Downloads kept switching back to No. Tried several times to re-enter ROTU and the update downloads kept looping and repeating. So... went onto fabios server directly at http://dl.modszombies.com//modsrotuv1/ and grabbed all the pk3 files there and saved them in the ROTU folder on my PC.

The ROTU mod now runs and I can get into the game and spectate with my name Connection Interrupted but I have a score of zero. I have saved the data.cfg file into C:\Users\myusername\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\do_not_delete folder as instructed.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated and no, Jeremy I will not give you a kiss.

You have 2 possible outcomes

Delete mod

You can delete mod and install it derectly on server maybe will work.

Download Off

Maybe your download allow is turn off so turn on for download good file.

Thanks for the response. I do have the Mod working but do not have my rank from when I last played. I followed the instructions For take back your account : [url=www.modszombies.com/keygen][/url]Keygen but it didn't work.

I will contact Fabio, although I did try that before I started this post.

that's impossible don't forget you need to put here C:\Program Files (x86)\Call of Duty\modsrotuv1\do_not_delete

your account lvl 272 is actually linked in your forum account so if you follow instruction you can't have problems

Hello again Roy

I put the Keygen file here C:\Program Files (x86)\Call of Duty\modsrotuv1\do_not_delete. It is an Admin read/write for that folder which I had to make myself. I did notice that just trying the rotu mod that the data.cfg file in the do_not_delete folder off the COD UO area had been accessed and written to only minutes before so the game is looking at that location.

When I look at Multiplayer Options in the Menu before I load the rotu server files my name is correct as Connection Interrupted with an uppercae letter "I" in Interrupted. When I get in the game my name has changed to Connection interrupted with a lower case letter "i" and I can not change it. It will not let me make the "I" uppercase!!!!! It seems this is the reason it is not linking to my forum acount???

I am looking at only Level 3 in the game! As you see from the last time I played many months ago my Level should be 272.

are protected folders (admin/root rights) for Windows 7 and up

Windows has created a virtual "program files" where non admin/root users stuff gets stored

This can be copied into the title bar of file explorer in windows, to go directly to the virtual "program files" folder

default location of the "do_not_delete" folder (only if cod is also installed on the default location)

Here you can place the "data.cfg (probably already exist if you have tried to play RotU).

note: Windows will ignore the files in the protected "program files" folder if they also exist in the virtual one.

(Edit of below text) I tried all of the below reinstall etc, and also put seta server1 "vsay u 0t6bixwo" seta server2 "vsay p prk52fgi" into the console but still only level 3. I even created the folder %userprofile%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Call of Duty\modsrotuv1\do_not_delete and put the dat file in there.

I tried the other locations in your message and nothing happens. My copy of COD UO is on another drive to the operating system. After my old computer junked Windows I left the game in my games folder on that drive but didn't need to reinstall it because it played, although my preferred settings had gone. I don't want to lose my position in the game as I can still access all the COD UO levels.

I will copy the COD folder to a safe place and try re-installing and see if that fixes it.

(I noticed when trying to get onto another server that someone has been using my game key!!!!!!)

oke, since you didn't install CoD in the default location you need to use the location of where you have installed it.
so:

c:\program files (x86)\Call of Duty\

needs to become

Code:

(folder path to CoD)\Call of Duty\

example:

D:\games\Call of Duty\

I assume the install location of CoD is not in a admin/root only folder, so the whole virtual "program files" stuff doesn't apply for you.

On the location where you installed CoD, there should already be a folder with the name "modsrotuv1" since you played already.
Just overwrite the data.cfg in the "do_not_delete" folder with the one of your old account.
You will lose the levels you gained with the new account (level 3) but get your old account (level 272) back.

so simply said:
Just follow the instructions to restore your account/level, but instead of using "c:\program files (x86)\Call of Duty\" use your install location of CoD.

PS: you can remove all the stuff you placed in "c:\program files (x86)\Call of Duty\" and "%userprofile%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Call of Duty\" because it doesn't do anything.

Ok. So, I tried running the mod this morning but still only level 3!

I have looked at which data.cfg had been accessed and it is the one here -

%userprofile%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Call of Duty\modsrotuv1\do_not_delete

I downloaded the data.cfg file again from the rotu server, run the mod again still level 3!

Is this problem related to my name showing as "Welcome Connection interrupted..." when I enter the game as my user name has always been "Connection Interrupted with an uppercase letter (I) in Interrupted and that is what my forum name is "Connection Interrupted"?

Why is it showing as a small letter i in the game?

I don't think the account its connected to the name but to the server settings "vsay u xxxxxxxx" and "vsay p xxxxxxxx".
So a other name doesn't really matter. (otherwise other people would also start at level 1 if they changed there name)

Maybe "uoconfig_mp.cfg" in the "modsrotuv1" folder gives you problems.
The content of "uoconfig_mp.cfg" and "do_not_delete\data.cfg" should be the same.
Can you rename "uoconfig_mp.cfg" it doesn't really matter to what as long it is renamed. (example: uoconfig_mp_old.cfg)
And try again.

CoD will make a new "uoconfig_mp.cfg"

The last thing you can try is to download the "data.cfg" and rename it to "uoconfig_mp.cfg" and overwrite it in the "modsrotuv1".
And to make sure also place the downloaded "data.cfg" again in the "do_not_delete" folder.

Also a redo of the keygen may help.

To change your name you can type in console : /set name Connection Interruped
