Zombs walking back & forward in these stairs, also the inside @ ladder its a problem RE: Map saint - West - 08-17-2016 Forau they walk there (on the stairs) like that, 'cause next to the stairs (where everyone usually camp; left to the screenshots) someone put a barrel, so Zombies are trying to get it, but they don't know how. It's a glitch used by some players. :V Same thing you can meet at map Store, when players put a barrel in a small gap next to the stairs. About ladder - IDK what you mean, 'cause Zombies doesn't stuck there. But if one placed barrel (but i didnt see one) then barrel causing it we have another issue. also they DID stuck at ladder ( comming from above ) - cause i died up there when trying taking screen shots of it he he RE: Map saint - fabio - 08-17-2016 The barrels sometimes make problems.. The zombie always tries to get the nearest entity. So for example he walks to a player and on its way, there is a barrel closer than the player. So the zombie walks to the barrel. But then on the way to the barrel a player is closer and the zombie walks back to the player. And so on... Maybe I hvae to make a priority list.. first kill barells and then kill players.. Something like that.. RE: Map saint - Soldier . . . - 08-17-2016 I think it would be easier to implement a Hysteresis/extra factor for the objects that are not the focus of the zombie. So if a zombie is going for the barrel the distance to the player needs to be (for example) 75% or less of that of the barrel for the zombie switch his focus to the player. distance to player = 900 distance to barrel = 1000 No focus switch. Zombie is still going for the barrel. distance to player = 600 distance to barrel = 1000 Focus switch. Player is way closer, zombie is going for the player. Now the zombie won't directly focus back on the barrel if the player moves (or a other barrel is closer) because the distance to the player need to be over 1333.
